The border is not merely a geopolitical boundary; it is a mechanism that structures perception, dividing bodies, histories, and images. An immigrant exists within the interstices of these divisions, where identity becomes a continuous process of translation. In cinema, one also inhabits a border: between documentation and invention, between the gaze of the other and the urgency to speak from a place that is perpetually unstable.
